Ayurved origin in India long back in pre-vedic period. Rigveda and Atharveda have references on health.

During its early periods Ayurveda was perhaps the only system for complete health care and medicine, which served the people in such crucial areas as health. At Present the system is well set re-orient itself to modern scientific parameters in the present situation, Medical scientists are searching for remedies in Ayurveda, for various diseases e.g. T.B., Cancer, Asthma etc. Ayurvedic treats man a combination of body, mind and soul.


It is a science of life that calls on every individual to live in perfect harmony with his natural environment. It is a holistic system that states that health of an individual is based on perfect balance of three dohas, called the Tridohas i.e. Vatta, Pita and Kapha. These dohas exhibits an imbalance in an individual due to unhealthy lifestyle, diet or too much mental or physical strain, diseases. In short it is caused by imbalanced in the body constitution of an individual.
